2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, display name when you create an account
- Emergency Contacts: Names, email addresses, and phone numbers of people you designate as emergency contacts
- Check-in Data: Timestamps of your daily check-ins
- Settings: Your preferences for check-in schedules, grace periods, and notification settings
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App interaction data, feature usage, crash reports
- Location Data: GPS coordinates (only if you enable location sharing in alerts)
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication Providers: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address and name (if you choose to share it)
- Payment Processors: We use RevenueCat to process subscriptions. We do not store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Send check-in reminders and notifications
- Alert your emergency contacts if you miss a check-in
- Process your subscription payments
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do NOT: Sell your personal information to third parties, use your data for advertising, or share your information except as described in this policy.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Your Emergency Contacts
When you miss a check-in and the grace period expires, we send alerts to your designated emergency contacts. These alerts may include:
- Your name
- The time of your last check-in
- Your last known location (if you have enabled location sharing)
4.2 With Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate our App:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud functions - Privacy Policy

4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Account Data: Until you delete your account
- Check-in History: Up to 1 year
- Alert History: 30 days after resolution
- Location Data: Only the most recent location is stored; overwritten with each new capture
When you delete your account, we delete all your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- Data encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Secure authentication using Firebase Auth
- Access controls limiting who can access your data
- Regular security assessments
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
7.1 Access and Portability
You can export all your data at any time from the App's Settings screen.
7.2 Correction
You can update your account information and emergency contacts at any time in the App.
7.3 Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data from the App's Settings screen. This action is irreversible.
7.4 Opt-Out
- You can disable push notifications in your device settings
- You can disable location sharing in the App settings
- You can remove emergency contacts at any time
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Our service providers (Firebase, Twilio, Resend, RevenueCat) may process data in the United States and other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
9. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending you a notification in the App for significant changes
